I thank God for your ministry and your tapes which have brought light into my life (along with some needed in-depth study of Romans). You help me understand that the Word holds real, not just theoretical possibilities one can only yearn for. I’ve had to allow the great potter to break up my idea of being a workable piece, and realize His designs for me were more than I thought I had a right to even dream of. I was caught up in pornography and lust, facing divorce and a fantasy life to which I was retreating more and more. It’s been a tough rollercoaster ride, but now, almost a year later, I can look back and see why my family and friends encouraged me to seek divorce from what I had sown. Yes, times were bad. She left me once, came back, then moved…then wrote about demanding a divorce…then kind of just became an unwilling “roommate”. I went head-first into prayer, and studying God’s Word, and going to church (after going through a few “flaky” churches), and I’m seeing changes in how my wife can now laugh with me, and can even let me hold her hand. And I’m slowly starting over with her.
I am now buying a modular home, brand-new, in a very nice mobile home park. I have to admit, I believe this comes from God. Where though I may still have consequences from my actions in the past, I’ve got a new chance to live out a new life as a new man in Jesus Christ. Yes, I have backslidden on occasion, but nowhere near as before.

My wife and I continue to encourage those we encounter in our ministry to tune you in and check you out [on the radio show]. I believe you have a special way to touch people out of a heart of compassion that is quite rare. Deep in my heart I do ache to watch people suffer, especially when the Lord is waiting to help. However, I am often unable to present the truth in a way that it may seem evident that I do have such compassion. That is why I value you so much—I believe the Lord has set you before me to allow me to see that aspect of speaking the truth in love more clearly.
So, like it or not, you are a type of mentor. You only have to continue to be who you are, what the Lord has made you. I do appreciate your transparency and candor. It has touched me deeply on many occasions.

Because of the insights I have gained by listening to your program, I am determined to make the changes to reenter life. Before this, I didn’t have the courage to see anything through. I would give in to temptation and eat something that I knew my body couldn’t handle. I used food to try to fortify myself against the world instead of knowing the Lord was there to help me through.
I am beginning to believe that no matter what happens concerning my marriage, I will be a stronger, more mature, and healthier person.
I am still afraid at times, but I’m moving through the fear with faith. It’s exciting to know I will be a better person for this. Also, that I will enjoy life!…

I’ve been too busy to tell you the good news that since 1st December, 1999, Radio 74 [Geneva, Switzerland] is now on Europe’s most powerful and popular Direct-to-Home satellite, the EUTELSAT “Hot Bird”. So your programme is now being heard across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. There are some 450 TV stations and about 100 radio stations on “Hot Bird”. Radio 74 is the first Bible-based Christian station on it. Some 24 million homes are equipped to receive this satellite, and the audience is growing by about 30% per year. By next year there will be more than 30 million people equipped with the small satellite dishes…May God be praised and honoured for opening this door!…I think you should more frequently give your Internet address. The young and the foolish are increasingly getting on-line (for better or for worse). I hope this news helped make your day. Onward and upward!
